Frequently Asked Questions
How do I update my firmware?
Firmware updates are delivered over the internet to your Snapshot units. The first step is connect them to a Wi-Fi AP (Access Point.) All of your Snapshot units must be powered on, and within range of a Wi-Fi AP for which you know the credentials. The only limitation is that our device works only in the 2.4 GHz band, so make sure your Wi-Fi AP is active in this band. Next, log on to your Snapshot server and go to the Settings page. Choose “Go to Local” and make sure to put in the correct credentials. The LEDs on both units should turn blue within a few seconds. Once again connect with your phone to snapshot.com, go to the Settings page and choose Upgrade Firmware. The upgrade will take two or three minutes and should reboot with the LEDs red.
